Most Kent transport operations have a list of drivers they trust, and a list of agencies they don't. We work hard to stay on the first list. Our HGV pool is built up of around 80 registered drivers across the county, with roughly 40 currently in full-time placements with our long-term clients. The rest are on shift work, week-on-week-off rotas, or available for same-day cover. Every one of them has been licence-checked, CPC-verified, and isn't on our books unless we'd put them on a regular run ourselves.

Booking an HGV driver

Tell us what you need. Site postcode, start time, vehicle type, run type, expected finish, any special requirements (ADR class, Hiab ticket, fridge experience).
We confirm a driver, or tell you we can't. Within an hour for planned cover, within 30 minutes for same-day. If we can't fill it, you'll know quickly enough to try someone else.
The driver turns up on time. With their licence, CPC card, tacho card and any other documents your traffic office wants to see.

What we check on every HGV driver

Right-to-work in the UK.
Full UK driving licence with the correct categories , verified online.
Driver CPC valid and in date.
Tachograph card valid; recent driving hours checked for compliance with the Working Time Directive.
Two work references, called.
DBS where the contract requires (e.g. some food-grade or government work).

What we will and will not promise

We won't oversell. If you need a Class 1 with ADR Class 9 in two hours and we don't have one available, we'll say that , and we'll usually know who else in Kent might. The point is to keep your operation running, not to pretend we can do anything.
